Meet the Providers
I am originally from the Washington D.C. area and have lived in Denver for the past 10.5 years. When I'm not working I am usually spending time with my husband and two Goldendoodles and friends. I find a lot of peace and nostalgia when I am in nature and by the water. My favorite season of the year is football season and I am a foodie at heart. I have food network on in the background like others often do with music.
I attended Wofford College for my BS in Psychology, and then
The George Washington University for my MA in Clinical Community Mental Health Counseling. I specialize in ADHD with all ages, trauma, depression and anxiety that can result in other difficulties such as: communication issues, family dynamics and other symptoms.
I believe in creating a welcoming therapeutic environment to provide a space for clients to feel supported. There is no one size fits all approach to therapy. I strive to collaborate with clients to customize their experience by utilizing psychoeducation, humor, and therapy techniques to help encourage clients to work towards their individual goals. I am passionate about working with clients with ADHD, Trauma, Depression and Anxiety.
I believe in a holistic approach to medicine that meets each client where they are, and supports them on a personalized health journey. Every person is a unique blend of their own experiences, and I am passionate about multidimensional care plans that help clients become the best version of themselves. As a provider, I vow to give each individual a safe, inclusive environment and offer a judgement-free space in order to provide compassionate patient-centered care.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a technological breakthrough in the treatment of Major Depression. Family Care Center is proud to be one of the largest TMS providers.
I work to incorporate therapeutic interventions rooted in cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and dialectical behavioral therapies. I utilize a gentle balance of humor and empathy to provide a safe, welcoming therapeutic environment. Within this environment, I promote personal fulfillment and change by challenging clients to be curious and introspective about their thoughts, beliefs, and emotions.
To me therapy is a journey of understanding meaning through building a genuine human connection. Through this connection, we can empower ourselves and encourage growth. That is to say, therapy gives us all a place to grow and support ourselves in the most authentic and meaningful way.
