I believe that play is essential to a child’s growing and learning process as children naturally communicate through play. Play therapy can be utilized as a way for children and adolescents to express themselves, explore and process their experiences and feelings through play/art. I am here to partner with you and your family to support in growing a child or adolescent’s ability to process through, cope and regulate with difficult life transitions, school related difficulties, emotional and behavioral challenges, grief/loss, social skills, attachment, trauma and self-exploration.

Darrel Beaty family care center
Darrel Beaty, LPC

My approach to providing therapeutic services is grounded in being person centered. Each person has the
potential for health, however, life provides challenges that are barriers to overcome. Sometimes getting stuck in
cycles prevents the perspective needed to name the challenges, and also look at new ways to overcome these challenges. My focus as a clinician is to provide a safe space for families, couples and/or individuals to work through present barriers to health. I believe everyone desires to be at peace in their life and my role is to help guide a person back toward their true self.

Amy Calabrese, PsyD

I am a seasoned clinical psychologist who is kind and straightforward. I will support you and challenge you and
promise there will be some laughs along the way!

Lucia Calzada Family Care Center
Lucia Calzada, Regional Medical Assistant Lead

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. I’m a medical assistant with a heartfelt commitment to helping others. What I love most about my role is the privilege of providing compassionate care to patients during their most critical moments. I approach each patient with empathy and treat their concerns as if they were my own. My ultimate goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives or our patients and contribute to the well-being of our entire team. Outside of my work, I love hanging out with my grandson – we play video games, watch movies, and spend quality one-on-one time together.

Travis Pilarcik, LPC

Working with kids/teens has shown me how powerful, resilient, and amazing they can become with help and support from those who care. Through caring, compassion, and a little bit of play, we’ll work together to create a future where they can grow into the best versions of themselves. I believe in using a mix of play and developmentally appropriate experiential therapy, along with using ways of expressing themselves such as art or even drama therapy. Each child is unique and working through their battles/transitions/challenges in their way, and I hope to partner with them to help create healthy coping skills. I can’t wait to meet you!

Melita Nerima, PMHNP

My treatment approach is evidence-based and is tailored to the needs of an individual. I specialize in medication management for several mental health disorders and enjoy working with adults.

I am empathetic, compassionate, a good listener and an advocate for my clients. I hope to build a therapeutic relationship while providing quality care for mental health wellness.
