Family Care Center East is located at 6566 Marksheffel Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80923. At our Indigo clinic, we provide comprehensive behavioral health services, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), medication management, and much more. We aim to provide a welcoming, compassionate, and safe environment for people from all walks of life. At Family Care Center, we believe that individuals can heal from mental health issues, as long as they have the right support, and we’re proud to provide the residents of Falcon, Blackforest, and the surrounding areas with just that.
Meet the Providers
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Board Certified. I enjoy working with patients across the lifespan. The decision to take charge of your mental health is an often difficult yet brave step to take. My goal is to assist you in achieving your optimal health that will enable you to live a happy, healthy and productive life.
I want my patients to know that I know the doctor’s office can be daunting and be filled with lots of unknowns, but they will always be valued and prioritized as a person, not just a patient in my office. I believe they deserve to feel like their concerns are seen and heard, and it is my goal for them when they leave to feel, if nothing else, I have listened. I believe every person is worthy of being treated with respect, no matter the situation. I am a very relational person, and I want my patients to be comfortable with and trust me while we work together to get them to feel mentally and physically better.
I come to therapy with a desire and focus to aid clients from a trauma informed perspective. With experience seeing a range of complex cases with co-morbid diagnoses and complex family dynamics I see purpose in helping client’s and their families find the roots to problems otherwise seen as hopeless. My focus in therapy is to partner with clients to not only reach treatment goals, but to provide transformation and healing on a deeper level that is lasting.
As a clinical psychologist, I approach therapy with a holistic and collaborative lens. I believe that mental health is influenced by a variety of factors, including early relationships in childhood, physical health, social support, and personal beliefs and values. By addressing these factors in a holistic way, we can work together to promote long-lasting and sustainable mental health and well-being. I also believe that therapy is most effective when it is
a collaborative effort between the client and the therapist. Therefore, I strive to create a warm and supportive environment where my clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings.
I work with children, adolescents and families who are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral issues. If you are a parent feeling like nothing you have done has helped, or frustrated at how to best support your child, I would like the opportunity to help. I have 10 years of experience working with children & their families who have experience trauma, separation and abuse. I am trained in Structural Family Therapy and worked in public education identifying and treating children
with ADHD, Autism, and Serious Emotional Disabilities. I am here to help you and your child grow in a
nonjudgmental space.
